Welcome to the information data base on contemporary art galleries in Poland prepared by the Documentation and Information Department of the Centre for Contemporary Art - Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw.

Our aim is to present various exhibition venues whose activities form landscape of artistic life of today in Poland in its versatile aspects.

Except for the basic address data our service includes descriptions of the objectives, forms of activities and favourite art disciplines and short historical notes on the galleries.

Each venue's character and priorities are exemplified by photographs of choice of art works exhibited in a given gallery. Descriptions of galleries owning Internet pages are linked to their home pages.

The web site has been developed from the information from our Department’s archives as well as delivered by the galleries. We hope for their co-operation in the future up-dating of the service.
